I find myself scrolling through endless pictures online hours on end finding images that inspire me. I posted links to some of my favorite sites that I feel embody my style. A Well Traveled Woman is my favorite tumblr to look at. There are pictures of adventure, cozy snuggling spots, warm clothes, cups of coffee, rustic homes, and crafty ideas. I absolutely love books and what they can do for a room. Whether they are on shelves or being used for a creative purpose, I think books give warmth and character to a space. I personally love to read, so they hold a meaningful value to me. Bookshelf Porn is a website that has endless pictures of incredible bookshelves. This site just gets me excited and makes me want to put books everywhere!! Design Sponge is a great resource for DIY ideas, as well as photography to inspire creative interior design. This site also has recipes for very tasty treats. I love good food, food for sure helps define my style!

The Simple Pleasures of Life
My style is a melting pot of comfy, cozy, eclectic, woodsy, old, and unique. I love earth tone colors. I like fabrics that are warm and soft. I like a lot of natural and warm lighting. I love the feel a room has when there are 5 rugs scattered on the floor overlapping one another. I love to transform old objects into new functional pieces; turning an old radio into a lamp for example. Antiques as focal points in the room bring character and history to rooms I like. I love exposed beams and hammered wood work. I love small uniques spaces and making them into cozy fort-like rooms.
The Spirit of a Space
Interior design is the design of your lifestyle. It is the means by which people put their personality and style on display. Design can inspire emotions and moods. There are endless ways to use interior design to convey what you like and what makes you happy. Colors can either brighten up the spirit of a room or quiet it down. Textures and materials can determine the feel and look of a room. Interior design has the ability to change a lifeless space into a lively livable home!
